Proper hashtag #use #on #Twitter
Social media and networks tends to be on the bleeding edge of bleeding edge of new ideas, trends, words/jargon, etc. So many of our newest expressions and jokes often find their beginnings on the internet in social arenas. The reason it works is because a lot of people hear/see it and begin passing it around their own circles. This is one of the great things about the information age! What grinds...

I've started a trend... (2/2)
To conclude my post about my whole dorm blogging I’ll list the girls:
Our obligatory-by-Vancouver-sterotype asian girl Emily - Little Chinese Girl from Scarborough.
Ok, so maybe she isn’t actually from Vancouver, but she is little! Her oriental-ness can also be humorous. Upon looking at her page though, looks like it’s getting a little stale. But that’s not to say I...

I've started a trend... (1/2)
As a Tumblr user, I can understand what makes it so appealing and fun to blog here, but to have the majority of my residence to hop on board is pretty nutty. It’s like the next “vinyl revival” over here.
Unfortunately it might not last as long as the LP craze, but better they all take a shot at tumblogging for a day than not doing it at all! I’m sure some will continue to...

Finally got them!
I’ve been wanting a pair of Fluevog shoes for a long time. Years. As much as I love all of his crazy stlyes, they’re difficult to pull off for general style. That is until this year.
One of the new lines this year is the “Public radio” shoes. In it he has three public radio stations: CBC, BBC and NPR (American). They’re beautiful shoes and finally something I can...

Pure energy and love in a cup!
Tropical fruit smoothie
One whole banana
1/4 mango (sliced)
Blueberries
Strawberries
Pineapple
1/8 cup of vanilla flavoured protein powder
A drop of vanilla extract
Strawberry kiwi juice
I tend to have this everyday in the summer on my drive to work. Isn’t too heavy, full of energy, and tastes amazing. It’s also better in the summer because of the access to fresher fruit...

1. Limit your friends...
The world wants that attention. Only you can decide where it goes.
And it does determine the shape of your life: what you pay attention to becomes your reality. If you watch and read the news all the time, you will become obsessed with the latest crises. If you watch and read about celebrities, your life will revolve around them. If you socialize on social networks all day long, this will...

Under the microscope
Since my house has gone into vinyl mode over the past few months, I thought it might be interesting to share some images I found of what the grooves look like close up.
Chris Supranowitz is a researcher at The Insitute of Optics at the University of Rochester. Along with a number of other spectacular studies (such as quantum optics, trapping of atoms, dark states and entanglement), Chris has...

"Fiends and Ghosts"
Trying to finish this “demo” or whatever it should be considered. This recording project is taking its toll on me. It’s been a work in progress for too long now and we still have nothing to show for it.
Raph and I went in this morning to work on tracks and we still aren’t complete. I’m thinking it would have helped if I had touched a guitar since the last time we did...

Google \/\/ave notifications
Google has finally pushed an update to their Wave product that allows users to be notified via email for updates to waves that they follow. This was previously only possible with a separate extension which had certain reliability issues.
Looks like Wave isn’t a lost cause after all!
