Simply put, our customers do not want a world in which it is easy for developers to write apps that run on many platforms. They just don’t. They want this to be hard for developers. I don’t know why — you’ll have to ask the customers. We’re just listening, and doing what they want.

The original ” ‘I’m a mac’ ‘I’m a pc’ ” ad!
Yes us Mac users are still that nerdy.  I can’t wait to look back on me now, then.

Twistori

This is my new screensaver. It’s also a unique way to view twitter based on these the six words love, hate, think, believe, feel and wish. It’s entertaining if not really useful.

One nice thing is that it doesn’t eat up system resources to run it as a screensaver. I’ve tried some Twitter feed ‘savers that really put my computer into overdrive while it’s relaxing.

Give the original website a shot first to see what this is all about, then grab the screensaver once you’re done.

P.S. this is a Mac thing :)

Seriously, why won’t this just work?!?

So I’m trying to complete this awesome icon set created by Martin Lexow. It’s mostly complete and of very high quality, but I mean there’s no way he can create an icon for ever app out there right? So I decided I wanted to compliment his original package with some icons so that at least my dock would look consistent without having to get rid of commonly used apps from it. Basically I needed a Tweetie icon the most (because it can’t yet only exist on the status menu bar).

My Tweetie icon

Poof! There we go, I drew it up in Ai, imported to Ps, processed it and I end up with a extended macintosh icon set. Except that it refuses to behave properly!!:@ Every time i make the icon file and apply it to my app, something gets screwed. In my dock I get this problem

What's that stupid shadow there for?

I mean come on?!  Who’s taking a slice off the top and making it some stupid shadow at the bottom? And that’s not the only problem; in coverflow it looks like this:

Ok...now who pushed it too far down?

Yes I’m using the correct resolution and down sampling correctly (as far as i can figure out) for all the small sizes. Why’s it all gotta be an asshole to me?  I just want this icon to work….

Help anyone?  Please?
